    Cherokee 235 Interior: This Cramped?

Are you talking about the Cherokee's prior to the 5" fuselage stretch or after?

    Cherokee 235 Interior: This Cramped?

This all really underscores that if someone really hopes to use the back seats, the Charger/Pathfinder (235), the Challenger/Archer I (180), or the Arrow II or later are really the best choices due to the extra 5" in the second row.

    Cherokee 235 Interior: This Cramped?

It's looking like the case for hunting for something post-1972 with the 5" fuselage stretch would be pretty strong if one anticipates carrying more than a right-front seat passenger very often.

    Cherokee 235 Interior: This Cramped?

I've attached a photo from TAP of a Cherokee 235 interior from 1968. I noticed the front edge of the rear seat is virtually touching the back of the front seat. Is this really how the seats are spaced? Would most pilots bring the front seat more forward and create a bit more space for the rear...

Why does my C172 POH use "mph"??

Maybe. But you're reading a lot more into the original post than I am. I saw it just as a loose comparison, not a rigid attempt to make one like the other. But you might be right. I just think you're being too harsh on him, that's all. But hey, sitting behind a keyboard when there are no...

Why does my C172 POH use "mph"??

I misconstrued. Not the first time, and I fear, not the last. Thanks for patiently explaining.

Why does my C172 POH use "mph"??

That's inferring a lot from just a few lines the OP wrote. Maybe be a little less doctrinaire and spend a bit more energy listening than just pounding out a judgment. Just my opinion, worth what you paid for it.

Why does my C172 POH use "mph"??

I didn't think he was offensive. He was responding to a patronizing, condescending comment someone made about his "playing" X-Plane, a simulation program that is used on commercial simulators and in some versions is accepted as a training program. I was glad to see him stick up for himself on...

    Fatal: walked into prop

Happened in my original hometown. Haven't lived there in a long time, but the school the guy attended, the airport, the town, are familiar to me. Sounds like he rented something like a Cessna with doors on both sides

    Piper Charger or Pathfinder fans?

    I've heard there pre-Dakota 235's don't have it.

    Piper Charger or Pathfinder fans?

I have always liked the "middle" Cherokee 235s, between the original and the Dakota, the Cherokee Charger and Pathfinder. Basically a Cherokee 235 with 5" more legroom in the back seat, still with the Hershey bar wing. I'm not a pilot, but have always been kind of taken with that generation of...

    182 Transition

The model evolution on the Cherokees can be mind-numbing at times. The 235 literally went through 4 stages.

    182 Transition

Not exactly true. The classic hershey-bar cherokee had a 30 foot wingspan; but the Charger/Pathfinder (precursors to the Dakota) had a 32 foot wingspan, while the Dakota stretched to 35.4 feet of wingspan. The Dakota has 170 square feet of wing over the cherokee's 160 square fee. The Stabilator...

I actually have been up in a single engine place 2 or 3 times in my life. Once in high school and it was a "discovery" flight back when Cessna did them for $20! I also went up once in a C172 piloted by a friend who just flew us around south Florida for an hour. Seems like there was one other...
