Educate me on why this plane has not sold

Guys, clerical misspellings are not a mystery. The plane plowed into a bunch of trees and was seriously damaged. Would you buy it? It was owned by someone who did not know how much gas was in the tanks. How well do you think they maintained it?

According to the Aviation Database the plane had a significant accident

    Another ‘Cherokee 180 vs. 235’ thread…

Thanks! The biggest appeal of the Charger/Pathfinder is that extra 5 inches.

    Another ‘Cherokee 180 vs. 235’ thread…

Tell me about the leg room in the rear seats? Would a medium height pilot, say 6 feet even, be able to move the pilot seat forward enough to make room in the back? That 68-72 model seems to have it all except for the rear seat.

    Another ‘Cherokee 180 vs. 235’ thread…

The POH for the Pathfinder lists 13550 for the service ceiling and 15, 500 as the "absolute" ceiling. That really is a shift from the Charger (12,000//13,900). It might be hype, but I'm wondering if maybe a change in some other system, like more efficient exhaust, different air intake, different...

    Another ‘Cherokee 180 vs. 235’ thread…

That's true. I have recalled something somewhere that explained the difference, but I can't recall where. It's the same engine as the early 235's and the Charger.

    Another ‘Cherokee 180 vs. 235’ thread…

I think the 73 (Charger) had that low service ceiling. The 74 (Pathfinder) improved that quite a bit, and then the Dakota has a higher ceiling still.

    favorite double edge razor blades?

I have long enjoyed the Merkur Progressive razor. Recently I've been trying the Gillette "Perma-sharp" blades and like the every bit as much as Iridium blades I've always used previously.

    favorite double edge razor blades?

Once you get the knack of it, which doesn't actually take long, the straight razor produces fewer nicks and less razor burn than other razors, plus the shave "lasts" longer. Even by the end of the day, I still feel clean shaven. I can't explain it. I can shave with the straight, a safety razor...

    favorite double edge razor blades?

Better yet, using a straight razor, which eliminates ALL subsequent purchases, is the way to bail on the whole "Big Shaving" racket.

    favorite double edge razor blades?

I alternate between a straight razor and a Merkur adjustable double-edge. In the latter, I use PolSilver "Super Iridium" blades. I've used those for literally decades and they are the right combination of really sharp but not scary-sharp. Feather always struck me as "scary sharp" and the others...

Starting to look at what I want and need some thoughts

You mention an Arrow III but actually the Arrow II from the mid-1970's is faster and has more useful load. Piper plane bloat over time and with each new model they get slower and heavier. The Arrow II post 1972 is a "sweet spot." If I ever own, that's on my list of candidates.

Baggage Handler Killed in Montgomery (Jet Engine)

The article linked above states: Additionally, there is a much greater potential for serious or fatal injuries if ingestion into a cFm56 engine occurs because the cFm56 does not have inlet guide vanes. The JT8D has 19 stationary inlet guide vanes that have provided ingested personnel some...

    50 NM Cross Country?

Here in central Kentucky we are blessed with numerous airports that are 50-70 miles away. Our state lacks a lot of things, but we are rich in airports!

Got “thrown out” of an airport today

What's bizarre is being such a frequent visitor and patron, and still, they don't seem to know who you are. Very odd. Goes with the general sense that they don't pay much attention to what's going on. Whatever else figures into this, as an informed non-pilot, I can't get away from...

    "The Clearance"

that was exactly my own impression. I'm not a pilot, but I imagine myself sweating bullets and feeling like an idiot for not being able to keep up. But those guys clearly realized this was complex, and needed to be right, and getting it right was more important than looking smart. I actually...

    No more Airplane Mode, Europe

I regularly fly overseas, typically to the Middle East. Global Entry is GOLD. My experience coming back into the country is very easy, and even leaving the country is much streamlined. When I enter Israel my GE is also helpful there as well. It is the best $100 I ever spent on travel.

What was the first aviation related book that you read?

This one. I was in the 8th Grade. First book longer than 75 or so pages I ever read. This is the very copy. I read it again about every 3-4 years.

    Weird moment in the cockpit

I heard a story... maybe it was in the Chuck Yeager autobiography, I don't know. Anyhow, this test pilot was putting and experimental airplane through its paces a totally lost control. The plane is hurtling toward the deck. The pilot can't eject for some reason. Instead of screaming and cursing...
