    If you can find a plane to partner in on or buy, with the right financing it's not out of reach for most people. If you are a mechanic and an A&P, you can really get a good deal on a fixer-upper.

    Little freaked on my lesson

    Flying is awesome! Soon you will be up there by yourself, wondering how things got to this point. There is always something new to learn, and I find learning each step to be very rewarding. I am doing solo cross-country flights now, and I like to always have some kind of plan for engine trouble...

    VFR pilot and ownership

    I should add that buying a lower-end VFR only plane with basic instruments is very affordable - but I will have to buy another plane to get much practical use out of flying. I am not really flying for practical reasons, just for fun.
