Just don't call them "rudders"...

I generally use this site to grow and correct as I am still a newbie. I can honestly say I’ve never heard the rudder called rudders.

In my Lycoming 0-360 I’m at 900 after start up. Then I lean and bring it down to 900 again. I stay below 1100 in taxi until my my lowest CHT is 250. No science, just my norm. Takes forever on a 32 degree day in the winter.

In an attempt at humor, you can call or not call perfectly legally.....as long as neither is posted on YouTube...

I’m with the rest. I think the guy lining up at an uncontrolled is probably the more dangerous move. The kid definitely should not have reported. I did not see the insult. I might’ve been insulted and didn’t know therefore! it not the end of his life but I completely miss the cancel/online...

I’m torn on how to answer this. I bought my Tiger to train in and get my ticket. It was great BUT if you think you pucker on a bad landing in a rental, wait until you own the gear you are slamming on the non-centerline.

My local field has three seemingly interchangeable names, Henry County, Tara Field and Speedway. All are used. Initially it bothered me but it seems to work. I think it is worth noting a visitor would only use and (more dangerously, only know) the name on the sectional/foreflight.

I carry an old Sportys radio with headset adapters about half the time. Never used it except for ATIS.
