    Oshkosh 2017 Airplane arrivals

Looked like the guy at 7:20 might ground loop it. Tail wheel definitely threw dirt.

Student with ATP looking to add-on a Single Engine rating...

Funny you guys mention possible transition issues, my buddy has been flying 767/757 for a long time and when we talked about going up in a GA , he said he wouldnt want to fly at all because he'd probably be panicked by the fact we would be under his stall speed most of the time.

    Cirrus stall spin?

I can't help but think about the crash at Hobby that killed the pilot, her husband and brother-in-law. They were at pattern altitude so all she probably had to do was pull the chute when the wing and nose dropped. Still makes me a bit sad to think about that one; young kids lose mom and dad just...

    Cirrus stall spin?

Thats the tricky thing about the Cirrus, indecision about what to do can lead to the wrong decision and disaster i.e pulling the chute too low instead of landing in a nearby field or not pulling the chute at pattern altitude at the first sign of real trouble. Old lady throws coins into jet engine

It wouldn't surprise me if they did in fact bury the engine. Here is an article with some rather gruesome photos of what happened to a mechanic that got sucked into a 737 engine. WARNING GRAPHIC: http://www.sickchirpse.com/man-sucked-into-jet-plane-engine/

Flight Instructors - Did/Do you enjoy the job?

This is a well timed thread; I've been seriously considering getting my CFI. I have a law practice so it would only be part time i.e not for time building or the money, ha. Believe I would be good at it but have concerns about if I would enjoy it or not. Ultimately I think as long as I don't...

    Airbus 380 Pronounced Dead

Boeing hit a home run with the 777 and I suspect the new bigger 777Xs coming out in a few years are going to be well received. Essentially mini jumbos with very efficient twin fuel burn and aerodynamics, they are going to be very appealing to the airlines. Might also seal the fate of the 380 and...
