    Labor shortages are annoying.

Welp, I went to go pick the plane up this weekend, but the NAV lights weren't working on pre-flight, so I had to leave the plane. Hopefully, they can figure that our quickly before the weather takes a turn for the worse.

Well, the shop called to say the work is finally finished, and they are just completing the logs. Over three months for the annual inspection and to complete the work.

    Chainless Digital Drive Bikes

The difference is that on the digital drive bike by pedaling you are turning a generator to create electricity to power the electric motor, whereas with an electric bicycle there is a battery that provides the electricity to power the motor, and any pedaling by the rider is adding additional...

    Cooking Turducken

Understandable. But this one was free to me. So, that's not a concern.

    Cooking Turducken

That's what I may be leaning toward. Throw it on the pellet smoker for an hour and then cover it and put it in the oven like the instructions say. Then uncover to finish in the oven.

    Cooking Turducken

So, a client sent me a 16-pound Turducken from Herbert's Specialty Meats, and I am planning to serve it for Thanksgiving. Their directions call to put it in the oven covered for 4 hours, then one hour uncovered. I am thinking that smoking the turducken could be better. That being said, I am...

    Cooking Turkey

I did one earlier this month on the pellet smoker. I essentially used this as my guide: Grilled Or Smoked Turkey Recipe: The Ultimate Guide To A Perfect Bird (amazingribs.com) It came out ok. I wasn't blown away. But it was every bit as good as the typical thanksgiving turkey. My wife...

A barbecue adventure, the saga unfolds.

I saw a whole choice packer cut brisket at Kroger this morning for $32.00 ($65.00 off). I really thought hard about bringing it home, but my wife doesn't eat red meat, and I have no one to make it for. Plus, between the frozen turkey, the frozen turducken (a gift for the client) and the pork...

    Labor shortages are annoying.

This same shop has done the work on this plane for decades. Never had a problem like this before. The inspection isn’t completed. But it think that part is almost finished. There was nothing obviously wrong with it. I flew it over and dropped off with no issues. we don’t defer maintenance...

Alec Baldwin shoots and kills cinematographer.

That's largely the way workers compensation works. Except for the negligence part. Negligence is often irrelevant (although this is an oversimplification.) Just whether it's a job related injury.

Being charitable to the plaintiffs' bar, (which I am not often inclined to do) do you really think it takes the same amount of labor to handle a soft tissue injury fender bender lawsuit as it does a catastrophic injury aviation lawsuit?

Also, if you think the civil side is bad, have you looked into the criminal side?

If I could change one thing, it would be to make getting summary judgments easier. Courts are reluctant to grant them due in part to the feeling that plaintiffs deserve their day in court. But when a court grants an SJ, they had their day in court. They just didn't get to waste the jury's...
