    For Sale 1960 Beechcraft Debonair

Be sure and check out those old exhaust. I thought I was very proactive on maintenance and this was the first time in 650 hours flying the plane that I had a problem. Engine noise with a nervous flyer aboard is not good, flying over a 800’ overcast when this happens is also not good. I was...

    For Sale 1960 Beechcraft Debonair

Exhaust failed over a 800’ overcast with the wife aboard. She has always been a nervous flyer and this upset her very much. I have been flying a little less and with her not flying anymore just meant it was time.

    Are Dual NAV's necessary anymore

I got my narco mk12 back from the shop so Ill probably just leave that in the plane. It’s got a little noise in it, but it still works and the tower says it sounds fine. I just hate to spend much money on it at this point, just the cables will run a few hundred. But that’s still cheaper than...

    Are Dual NAV's necessary anymore

So a par 200 and garmin 355 would be good? I’m needing to do something and this would definatly be a less expensive route. I already have a garmin 660 and iPad. This would not give me a VOR or ILS though. I’m planning on starting back on my IFR rating and trying to decide what to put into my...

Starting purchase research, trouble narrowing choices

I would think the wife would like the doors on a 182. It would probably be much easier getting the kids in and out of the plane. And I just checked on barnstormers and they are not as expensive as I thought. Also a 182 would probably be easy to sell I need be.

Starting purchase research, trouble narrowing choices

After looking at his requirements, 360# in front 100# in back seats 195# in baggage area 63 gal of gas. He would have to make a stop, and I don’t know about the volume requirements. The problem Is what can he get for the 75-80k. You won’t buy a A36 for that, and most 182s are going to be...

Starting purchase research, trouble narrowing choices

I was looking to fill a similar mission, four seats and 140 Knots or more. After researching for about a week I narrowed it down to a f model Mooney or Bonanza. This was before the ruddervator problem. I didn’t think I could buy a Debonair at the time as they were out of my price range...
