Do you have a cost estimate for this?

First time buy - Archer vs Arrow?

The partnership one went from like 1100 to 1400 when I joined (had my license just over a year but only around 70 hours). Another guy just joined who had gotten his PPL within the last month just above 40 hours. Rate increased to 15 or 1600. Still not bad in my opinion. Edit to add: these...

    To Commercial and beyond!

Well I'm down to the last 10 hours. Feeling really good about the maneuvers. Took and passed the knowledge test earlier this week (87%) Checkride is scheduled for January 12. My instructor and I still need to so the 2 2hr xc. Should get them done this week (will combine them into 1 xc total)...

Partnership info you'd be willing to share

Not sure if our LLC is just set up different or not, but it's really easy to get in/out. And there's not much work on our part as 'members'. We have a meeting 1 time each year, discuss a few things. The pres. Writes it all up after the meeting is done and that's it. As far as selling shares 2...

Partnership info you'd be willing to share

Our 'corporation' has been in place since 1990..... so all of our paperwork is on paper. All I can offer you are some requirements of some members and things. This is my first airplane ownership experience, and I've only been in it about a year and a half. Take it for what it's worth. After...

Do enroute controllers care about birds?

There was a bird doing some aerobatics over the runway the other day. Heard a guy call it in. Tower said his transponder must be off, I can't see him lol.

Do enroute controllers care about birds?

So I was doing a flight today (ifr in vmc) and heard a guy on the radio give the controller location on a flock of geese. Within the next 15 minutes I saw a flock off to my 3 o'clock. There were about 3500 msl (about 3000 agl). I don't think they were the same ones the other guy had reported. I...

    Dying attitude indicator?

Welp, our AI is waiting to get replaced. (I think I posted in this thread before) As mentioned before it would wobble on start up and then straighten out within 30 secs. Or a minute. Got in the plane with my instructor and it wobbled for a couple minutes.... then went completely TU. We decided...

    To Commercial and beyond!

Well you two were right. Over thinking it too much... although I'm finally within standards I'm still not where I want to be. Usually the 3rd or 4th loop is close to a bust. 20 hours left to perfect it all!

What was the most unpleasant part of training for you?

Doing unusual attitudes for the first time.... my instructor enjoyed doing them WAYYYYY too much lol.

What the heck did I do??

I would just like to stop for a moment and say I blame my procrastination on not doing one of my final papers for school on you lol. Just looked up on cirrus' website about all the options for the sr22... then that lead me to look at the vision jet.... which lead me to a serious case of SJS...

    New IFR Test Observations

Did the book they give you during the test (the name is escaping me right now....) have the legends section in the front? I'm prepping for my commercial written and my test book from ASA does not have it?

What the heck did I do??

So what options (that you can tell us about) did you get on the cirrus? A/C? TKS?

    One of those great flights

I just had one of those the other day when I flew to North Myrtle Beach, SC. Left 30* weather and 3 hrs later (what is usually a 9 or 10 hour drive) I was sitting beachside on a patio at a restaurant in 70* sunshine.

    To Commercial and beyond!

I freaking hate the lazy 8's. Went up yesterday and it was like I totally forgot how to do them. Not that I could do them within standards before, but yesterday was just aweful. Any helpful tips? About 30 more hours to go!

First time buy - Archer vs Arrow?

Figured I'd put my $0.02 in here since I'm in a partnership with an arrow. I joined with about 70-80 total time and progressed through my instrument rating and will be doing my commercial within the next month (if it decides to stop pouring rain). We get about 130 kts on about 9 gph (can go...

    retaking the written?

Seems risky to me to take a test just cause you didn't get as high of a score as you wanted. Passing is passing. And if you retake the test only the most recent one counts, doesn't matter what you scored on the first.
