The Aluminum cylinders have an unlimited life, but both Kevlar and AL need to be hydrostatically tested before refilling if the last hydro is more than five years prior.

That looks like a walk around portable with a continuous flow mask. That won’t last very long for you. If this is the unit you are talking about, you can use up the O2 that’s in there before you take it for hydro - you don’t have to empty it and run out and get it done. Also, I can’t see...

I will get an answer for you on Tuesday regarding the emptying of the tanks. I suspect that as the pressure equalizes, there is a risk of dirt being pulled into the tank, so a small positive pressure keeps that from happening. Will confirm for sure with the team. Scott

Has anyone else had a difficult time reaching Horizon Instruments? We sent our P1000 tach in many weeks ago for a recal and now all we are getting is voicemail for several weeks and we are grounded until we get this resolved.....TIA
