Thanks Captain, I didn't interpret 61.213(e) to mean that. However, once you have a GI certificate one doesn't have to re-take the exam. Unlike, if one is a IGI you still have to take the CFI-I exam.

Why FS2004 and not FSX ? Just curious, I'm just starting to become interested in the MSFS products. I've mainly used Elite simulators, so MSFS is new to me.

Does the AGI/IGI provide any advantage on the track to CFI & CFI-I ? Isn't only the FOI useable for xGI's & CFI/IIs ?

Sounds like a crap-shoot to me. Go with whatever is your strongest skill. Either way, it's not a pretty picture. I guess we can wind back time and decide to stay on the ground until the clag is less formidable ?

The 1900 is not ugly. I think it's sexy. But then, I like Cessna's 208 too. The question is... could you take-off from Little Cayman (MWCL or LYB) ? It's my favorite scuba diving spot. Soon we won't have DOD charts for the Caribbean. Thanks for the numbers... nice to know y'all are more...
