    The new problem out here is they've stopped rattling as a warning. My rancher kid student told me they think it's because of the feral hogs. His ranch isn't very big he said, just 25,000 acres or so.

    In addition to those two books mike goulian and Giza Zsurovys book basic aerobatics is nice because it has pictures for what you see.

    No, I wouldn't have a student do that... Just hold her level till its at 60 while your finding a place... Doesn't take long. He's in a 152 there's not much speed to trade up :-)

    The other thing you can do is power off 180s at the airport. That will help you with perceiving the glide and set up for the las part of getting it down where you want and judging your turn onto "final" depending on the winds. Don't suppose you're flyin in 20-24 kt winds though...
