    " . . . is far simpler than flying needles. Being a Luddite - correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it required that you fly the needle and not the moving map when flying a GPS approach.

    I have no idea of why the LPV mins are so high. I did look at all three charts (ILS/LOC 5, VOR 5, RNAV 5) and the one thing I noticed that did vary significantly is the missed approach procedure. The RNAV has you going back to the IAF while the ILS & VOR have you proceeding to an intersection...

    I typically try to stay sharp with three-point and wheel landings. I've talked to folks who say a small tail dragger should never make wheel landings. Your thoughts?
