Ditto. I propose an amendment to part 139. "Regardless of the airport index, all airport fire and rescue operations require the authority to maintain sufficient quantity of children's firefighter hats to provide such hats to all children aboard any aircraft which uses the airport."

    Air Travel in Ten Years

This thread: www.pilotsofamerica.com/community/threads/anyone-know-whats-going-on-with-spirit.133509/ Got me thinking about the future of air travel. So I've come up with some predictions. Because my ability to predict the future is limited to where my next footstep will land this is of...

Anyone know what's going on with Spirit?

I would not want to be an airline executive right now. With Covid-19 variants shifting and multiplying there is no way to make a confident prediction even 6 months out. ULCCs are just city buses with wings and without the urine odor. And that is fine if all you can afford is a bus. Even...

New 70” TV Shopping - LED vs “QLED”

Looks like a nice piece of kit. Even when I was 6 I knew my family's 13" Admiral B & W was a piece of junk. But this, this I could not have imagined.

Seems they have made it a tad more formal. 4 years.

LODA - Could not be simpler - nor quicker.

I think it is the FAA saying the alphabets forced them to deal with the issue, the court decision was B.S. and they put in place a system that essentially returns things to the status quo with the least hassle for everyone. I think this a minimal intrusion, minimal admin waste solution to a...

ILAFFT: Almost Killed my Family on an Instrument Approach

I do several per week on my x-pane sim with some rudimentary flight controls (yoke, rudder pedals, throttle). I normally fly an aircraft that is faster than what I normally fly. Using a faster aircraft makes the slower aircraft seem . . . slow. Presently using a Baron. I can't log it but keep...

    Holds for Currency

There is no requirement that the hold be associated with an approach. 14 CFR 61.57 (c) Instrument experience. Except as provided in paragraph (e) of this section, a person may act as pilot in command under IFR or weather conditions less than the minimums prescribed for VFR only if: (1) Use...

    What would you do? (Checkride)

Beat me to it.:yeahthat: But I use 30/45/90. 45=70% anything over that I treat as a direct crosswind. The key is to fly safely, exact number don't matter in real life. The real question is: am I comfortable doing this?

    Ever seen this?

So the question is, why are the rocker arms trashed and what is to be done about it? I found one SDR with the control # CA991210021 all it said was the rocker arms were replace after one was found damaged.

Anyone know what's going on with Spirit?

I agree, all airlines have terrible management. The difference is ULCC have no interline agreements so can't accommodate pax on other carriers. You get what you pay for. By saving $30 each way they got stuck.

Anyone know what's going on with Spirit?

I suggest that ULCC pax get what they paid for and should just shut up.
