    Any Hunters in Here?

Yes, 6.5mm is the current leader for the benchrest shooters. A decade ago 6mm was their choice but the ballistic coefficient is best with length of the projectile. The longest and heaviest .243(6mm) is 100gr boat tail which requires a slow burning powder and 22" barrel

    Any Hunters in Here?

I should have used your barrel. My rifle is heavy, put a good sling on it but still would hate to have to carry it around all day

    Any Hunters in Here?

Yeah, I built a AR-10 in .243 bull brrl with a ridiculously expensive Japanese Scope. Very flat trajectory and very fast follow-up shots

    Any Hunters in Here?

.270 & 30-06 use the same cartridge case. .243 & .308 use the same cartridge case. All 4 of the above are easy to get. For what you described I feel the 30-06 case holds more powder than you need. Unless of course you're shooting 400+yds

How Many Times Can Cylinders Be Overhauled

Nowadays we just replace with New if available. Some of the small Continentals can be hard to find New. The cylinder overhaul shops are very proud of their work (rightly so) and pricing can get close to New replacement

    C182 Engine Question

Just fly it until the oil pressure falls below specs. If compression falls replace the jug. If you decide to rebuild, keep it factory. Injection requires LOTS of alterations. Electric fuel pump is not all that's needed. I changed planes years ago and only noticed lack of carb heat as advantageous

Ignore the (very few) rude replies. Anonymity enables rudeness with some people. All online forums have this in common. Your vids look fine

Get A&P license to maintain own Airplane

Ignore the naysayers. If you're an aviation enthusiast go for it. I got my a&p fresh out of high school, after a few years upgraded to IA to inspect major repairs, annuals. Eventually stashed enough cash to buy a 172 needing some minor repairs. So, go for it
