    PA32 down out of PDK

If you look closely it "appears" as he made a controlled turn to the right moments before the crash.

    PA32 down out of PDK

I found this video on live leak which was taken by a dash cam of a police cruiser. It appears that the pilot was attempting to line up with the road the cruiser was on. If he kept his course he may have had enough altitude and airspeed to clear the I-285 overpass and land straight ahead. It...

    What's the future for Cirrus?

I very much agree with this notion. I had the "privilege" of being born in Eastern Europe. Through my grandfather’s fascination and appreciation of America he managed to migrate to the US during the early 80's. Several years later my father followed and eventually through their combined...

    New Information On MH 370

I asked this before, If the intent was to hijack the aircraft and render the passengers unconscious by slowly decompressing the cabin, is it possible to disable the cabin O2 masks from deploying? i.e. pull a breaker? I would imagine that the masks deployment is controlled by a pressure switch...

    Malaysian Airliner missing?

I don't understand please explain? If sealed and not taking on water it will float. Unfortunately that is not likely since aircraft fuselages are not 100% airtight, water will eventually find its way through and all available buoyancy will be lost and it will sink.

    CNN reporter/pilot Miles O'Brien

The article states that his left arm has been amputated above the elbow, I strongly doubt he will be capable of holding on to his medical. While reading the article I find it remarkable that a simple event such as a case falling on his arm related to his work caused all this. I wish he can...

Anyone training out of FXE, Ft Lauderdale Executive?

+1 For Richard's Flight Training you are in good company, Mr. Richards is an exceptional gentleman. I finished my PPL using his planes at FXE, I still rent from him when visiting Florida.

So, how bout that new logo?

Very impressed! However, in order to prevent the high wing, low wing debate, what if a mid wing design was incorporated? Maybe something across the "T"?

NA - Monitor Help please - NA

I notice you are using firefox, try Internet Explorer to see if the same problem occurs. I recall coming across a similar problem long time ago and I am sure it was not hardware related. Is this only isolated to firefox? Does it occur in other applications?

    Keep your eyes outside...

If the 152 got hit in the same manner as the Cirrus it would still be a complicated repair. In the case of the Cirrus and composite aircraft, how do you repair damage like that? My experience with resins and fiberglass as well as carbon fiber is limited but I know enough that bonding cured...

Question for the Tie Down crowd: Securing the aircraft

I guess plastic planes fend the elements (corrosion) a bit better?? Not that I am comfortable flying them. We have a waiting list of at least 5 years (if you get lucky) for a T hangar at FRG for about $700 per month.:mad2:
