Grass field 1450' in a tiger. Better be on your game but doable.
Can't beat a tiger. Reason they are hard to find is owners buy them and keep them forever.
I was a passenger in a tiger 1500' strip with obsticals on both ends. Plane had no issues. I wouldn't do it with my skills but the owner does it all the time as his shop is located on that strip and is one of the few Grumman experts around.
I've seen a couple conversations on this this week. Could be as simple as a air cleaner issue or tach . Few people have tried to get a better idea if its in cruise or takeoff. No one seems to be able to get a straight answer
looking for a clean 172 prefer 172M less than 6,000 hours. This will be a club plane so other specifics I'm probably less worried about. Let me know what you have
I believe this plane was discussed by one of the Grumman Gurus the other day. I thought It was believed that it could be bought in the low 20's if this is the same one. Ken Blackman is close enough to do the Prebuy. He is the expert on them.
If you meet all the requirement minus the complex time and have the written done there are companies that offer a 3-5 day course. That's what I'm looking for. Just no rental complex close by.
We've got a couple CFII in Springfield that are in our flying club. If you need some contact info send me a message
