Passed my checkride this week, woot! I am now a certificated sport pilot "license to learn". Looking forward to the knowledge I gain as I invest in $100 burgers with family & friends.

Rugged Air RA900. Quite comfortable. The gel ear seals make a big difference.

I prefer my Springfield XD-s 9, appendix or it's an M&P 40 OWB under a jacket.

My initial solo was a week a ago Friday, the 20th. Went up by myself on Sunday the 22nd. Flew with my instructor the following Friday and alone again last Saturday. This weekend it'll be dual cross country and a solo cross country.

SPL written 95%. It's frustrating not knowing which 2 questions I missed. Passed pre solo progress check with a different instructor. Still waiting on my student pilot cert as I am scheduled for my solo on Friday. Friday the 13th. Yikes!

First Post; Mine seems to be a common path... 3rd class med & student pilot cert issued 1988. 7.3 hours in a 152. Impregnate wife. Life happens, etc. 33 years later, health problems delay med cert so I opt for the Sport Pilot route. 8.9 hours in a Remos GX and I'm on my way.
