lol @ Flysince (i dont know how to quote, im sure its easy, but I dont care to learn how). I was just imitating another poster (I think its mscard88) who always brings up boobs as the answer. No disrespect meant towards Canjun. I have seen many of hers posts and I like them. Plus ladies always...

Yes Sir.. being the grown up. No replies since lol. Arguing in a forum is pathetic at best. I never want to offend my fellow pilots. We all have the same love (boobs, lol) AND flying : ) .. this is why site like these exists.

Wow.. touchy folks here. I apologize to all then for my post/opinion. And as that I am a private (only) licensed pilot, I can never imaging what its like to be in the big seats up front, so yout right. So again, apology given.

lol @ doesn't sound safe. God forbid you mention mel and AP in same sentence. but.... to be fair here is my EDIT. ** pilots who once they get that big plane NEVER go back to GA flying** Maybe this will end asinine comments.

Before I started flying (flight training and just small planes only/since) I always thought the "guy in a little piper/cessna" private plane was just an average pilot, no where near a 747 pilot (for example). This is common thinking among most people. But as time went on my view on this has...

How do I stop from taxiing too fast?

by deploying your thrust reversers.. duhhh. seriously though lol.. light singles roll very quickly, especially on a solo. One plane I was flying had a very high idle, so it was a rocket once it got moving.

    Choosing an online ground school

Dauntless. Their explanations are ridiculously detailed. with the ASA test preps books also (I like the REAL book versions of things). 8 written tests later and a 90% average score.

    which controls?

amazingly no one picked the 767 to London lol. damn.. should have put a 747 instead lol.

    which controls?

It amazing to me (well maybe not).. how many pilots love the idea of the bush life. We pilots love to look outside our windshield and think "wow, im really flying above hundreds of thousands of people and I can see in any direction 20+ miles.. what a view". Flying in beautiful Alaska seeing...

    which controls?

Im with you guys on the shuttle too. Watching re-entry on TV was amazing enough.. flying is whole nother level. lol @ lunar module. I should have put a DC3 during the golden age of flying on my list too.

    which controls?

which controls (or auto pilot) do you want to be behind? *some choices are only possible in dreams sadly. - a 767 flying to London - a dash-8 in the Caribbean - your own plane flying to anywhere - a bush plane in Alaska - corpate jet flying to KMIA - an F22 raptor - space shuttle - an...

Should I go with Part 141 or 61?

PPL - go part 61 (local mom and pop school) IRA - go part 141, to skip the 50hrs XC reqmnt COMM - going COMM depends on how you fly after getting the IRA and your end goal. There are many cheap part 141 options out there for the 120hr part 141 comm course. So for a total of 35K you are PP IR...

welcome. My tips for you, 1. read the AIM like you're doing. Especially the parts on airport procedures (all of which are included in the written test). 2. read the flying handbook (its the bible for a student pilot) 3. whatever you do not understand in the flying hamdbook.. search it in youtube...

    Cross country question

A to B over 50nm is a XC. B back to A would also be a XC. Above is a XC round trip and you would total the time in your logbook. not sure what you mean by return distance. Two points 50nm apart straight line distance is a XC for airplanes and I think 25nm for heli's. Im also not sure what you...
