    S-Tec upgrade ??

Hello. Looking at a C182... 14Vdc airplane. It has an S-Tec 20 and has altitude hold. I'm pretty ignorant on autopilots... but, my understanding is the S-Tec 20 is a single-axis autopilot. Is there a simple upgrade to S-Tec XX (?) to get me a two axis autopilot? Would like to be able to track...

    Real TAS in a 180hp C-172

Eldorado — that's probably very similar to this airplane. And all the aforementioned reasons are a good way to sum up why I want one. This one doesn't have the pants on, but has a cuff wing and flap gap seals... constant speed prop. Thanks all for the input dan

    the carbon monoxide indicator thing...

Hello. Two experienced pilots got very mysteriously killed here in Arkansas about a month ago. Good airplane, two good pilots. I've never used one of those panel mount cards that is supposed to indicate high carbon monoxide. Question is, are these good, reliable, the best indicator? This problem...

DME died - do NOT recommend GPS

Had one of these... took it to an avionics shop and the guy just said "leave it with me..." next day it was in the panel and working fine. Interrogating him a bit further, he said he knew of a couple of spots on a board that were traditionally weak right from the factory... he touched them with...

    stec autopilot question

    RNAV Approaches on a Budget

saw a GPS175 on either barnstormers or ebay for under four grand... that's alot more than budget stuf, but it's alot of NEW garmin technology, supported into the future, works well with an ipad, etc., etc. expensive, may be well worth it.

    stec autopilot question

Hello. Looking at a plane advertised as having an S-tec20 with altitude hold. Does that mean it's an S-tec 30 now? ... so it's now a two axis autopilot? Will this autopilot have GPSS capability? input appreciated.

    garmin 375 w transponder - v gt345

kinda starting over in this airplane. has an old n/c, old transponder, no ads-b capability. I keep thinking the 375 kinda takes care of ads-b in and out, plus a new gps source for GPS-based approaches. ALSO — seems like the installation costs, which are a big factor, mean it MAY be cheaper to...

    garmin 375 w transponder - v gt345

Hello. So... looks like the 375 with the all in one transponder looks hard to beat. Is the transponder in this unit functionally the same as the gtx345? Do I forgo anything by not putting in a 345 and a separate gps? THANKS!

will garmin still fix one of these?

I like it... flakes out sometimes when I tryh to switch to look at color weather... maps, etc.... they display great, but too much color, or something and I have to shut it down and reboot. Anyone know if garmin will overhaul this or generally, just fix it...

    PS ENGINEERING PMA 6000M update?

found info that the 7000MS replaces the 6000 as a slide in... expecting some installation costs associated with this, but this shouldn't be too daunting. Thanks for all the help.

Best way to mount an iPad Pro 11 in the Mooney

aera 660 on the yoke... integrates with your other garmin stuf (if you have it...). I like the size of it for the yoke... other stuf just was too dang big. works great for traffic. I like an ipad on the kneeboard for redundancy and charts... hard to beat. good luck with this

    PS ENGINEERING PMA 6000M update?

It works fine... but I have a PM7000M... is it possible that this is a slide in replacement? Or will hail, pestilence, and rivers of blood ensue if I ask my avionics guy to change this out? thanks
