thanks anyway... just trying to find out if I get better sound quality from a new unit — which will cost me alot for features I don't need nor wanna pay for, or if a regular unit like a KMA24 will still give me good sound quality into the headset. that's all.

sounds like a good idea. there's a company out there that makes a beautiful behind the panel, flush mount on the panel... on youtube... really nice and makes the ipad seem like a great option.

Yes. Flew w it yesterday. It works well with the 430W for displaying position for RNAV approaches... but I've experienced the same thing... crash whenever it has to display alot of color anything... it tries, then crashes. I think it's like depending on a computer that was built in the 80's...

good question. i just think this a good unit, might not be a big deal to fix it. And I like to have stuf repaired. Especially going back to Apollo era stuf. I know it's old... but Apollo made incredibly good equipment with very advanced engineering in its day... I just need a good tech at a good...

I have a 55X in a 210 and I like it alot. Reckon what switching from the S-20 to the 55-X would cost? I know it'll be some bucks, but approaches w RNAV on a bad day are just hard to beat... Thanks for your counsel.
