    Celebrity Pilots

Can confirm. I talked to her on an airliner (ironically) about the fact that we were both Cirrus owners at the time. And btw - she initiated the conversation while I was minding my business - although I did steer it to flying…

    What Other Careers

A lot of pilots do this on the radio even when solo. I think it comes back to flight training since we all learned to talk on the radio with a CFI next to us.

    Flight Bag Pireps

I have and like this one. It is pretty small but holds one headset, sunglasses in case, a water bottle, checklists, ipad (11" or mini or both) a bunch of pens, batteries, chargers and cords, plane/car keys, paperwork, etc... I rarely have someone in the right seat (my family rides in the...

What is your daily use car

No daily driver for me. I live in CA so don't need to factor weather and work from home 80% of the time anyway.

    Daily Pic

This weekend was a fun aviation experience - took my buddy flying in hopes that I could get him hooked again (I got him started back in 2005ish era and he got his PPL but then moved to China for a while and hasn't PIC'ed in a while). We took his family up to Big Bear for lunch and a good time...

    Meigs 2.0?

Government has always been evil... development is more of a recent thing (and not all developers are evil - I know plenty who are pilots and good guys)

    P-51 Mustang

I could give you a ride in a Mustang but it would be the C510 rather than P51 variant... Not nearly as cool - I'd love to fly a P51 too!

    Porsche rant

Solid rant overall! I’m confused about this part - are you saying the dealer lied about rodent damage or you expect the dealer/manufacturer to warranty rodent damage? Because the latter doesn’t make sense. Also what does covid have to do with rodents? It sounds like you have had a rough go...

Cirrus splash into water - presumed fatal N24LA

Generally I find that people jump to medical conclusions a bit too easily but based on this account, it seems highly probable there was some medical or other significant incapacitation.

That awful time of the year....

I thought you were a couple weeks late... April 15th. But while I haven't directly witnessed lovebug season I have heard of how nasty it is.

Apparently, there’s a place called Sushi Lolo in Ontario CA where you can indeed order a Vmc roll.

Significance of “at your own risk”

I got a “land at your own risk” clearance once when I asked to land on a runway that intersected with another runway on which a disabled (gear up) aircraft was stuck and unmoving. There was plenty of room for a safe landing on my runway. Edit to add: the guy had geared up right in front of me...

    Air Conditioning Effect Performance?

I bet it’s better. Plane AC always seems to be a little underperforming vs car/truck equivalents.
