How is pulling a prop through safe?

Can we start a poll for which one of us has sent a customer to the ER on this very topic? Might want to pick another one to be the authority on.

Leave it alone, man, just leave it alone...

How is pulling a prop through safe?

But Tom has informed us you can't prime unless the prop is turning, so if you don't have a starter, does someone have to push the primer in while you prop?

ACS Q&A Study thread for PPL check ride

Thanks! I know it leaks around the adjustment knob, but still tests accurate through 18k, so they wouldn't sign it off. I'm working on getting it overhauled, glad I'm not in violation until then.

ACS Q&A Study thread for PPL check ride

Q1: When is it safe to fly without an AoA indicator? - couldn't resist. Q1a: What are the circumstances required for an altimeter to be tested?* This one is kinda relavant to my situation. I understand its required for IFR (Pitot/Static, Transponder, 24mo) So here is my gray area. The...

If today's Military needed to build a better SR-71 Blackbird do you think they can pull it off?

eBay: Isn't this where you sell things?

I've had bad luck (2 out of the last 3 failed) both buying and selling. It didn't used to be this way. You can setup preferences on your account that require bidders to have a certain level of feedback or no negative marks. If you have a general idea of what the doll will sell for (based on your...

Splitting Up the Classifieds - Input Requested

Would you see Avionics going under Handhelds/Accessories? Seems like that would be a popular one, and then all the Garmin Scammers could have their own forum.

    Arizona aircraft registration (a rant)

Ahh, yeah I'm not sure about the sales tax, I was referring to the annual personal property tax. And by low, I meant relatively (compared to car, I think my plane was 1/10th of the car)

    Arizona aircraft registration (a rant)

They do quite a bit for GA advocacy including 2 annual aviation festivals, and for $5, I'm happy to pay it.. the city tax is another story. http://www.doav.virginia.gov/

    Arizona aircraft registration (a rant)

The tax is rediculously low on airplanes, it's a generic personal property tax, the same applies to boats, cars, rvs etc... lucky for you, military non-residents are exempt from ppt. Youll probably still need the va dept of aviation sticker, but it's only like $5/yr. I'll also add it's a city...
