Yes I fly it and warm it up first. It drains fine just a lot slower than pulling a large drain plug. IO-540. FYI

I run the Tempest filters, with the magnet. But I have a quick drain that drains slowly. I also do oil analysis that are all returning good. Should I pull the quick drain?

Wouldn't metal still be present in the oil filter when it is cut open and examined?

Honestly I always hand fly my approaches. I’ll try some on autopilot. I flew for 4,000 hours without an autopilot before I bought my Comanche 250 with the Century 2000 in it. It is so awesome for long cross country trips. Flys the little pink line.... I have the GNS480. It can be a bit finicky.

I bought a Comanche 250 in January. Have about 80 hours in it. Aspen upgrade next month. 480 GPS. Century 2000 auto pilot. I love it.

CFI in C172's and C150's and I own a Comanche. I had the Zulu 3 for over a month. I kept having weird wobbling noises and funny sounds. Hopped in a friends plane with an A20. It was so much quieter for me. I traded the Zulu's for the A20 and have not regretted that decision.

In my personal tests, Bose A20 was so much better at noise cancelling. Night and day difference I know you didn't ask.....

I did a one time data base upgrade on mine earlier this year. It is working fine. I think I skipped safe taxi, I've got that on forflight.

Garmin stopped supporting my 480 but the 480 keeps powering up and flying approaches. I'll use what I have. In a few years something newer and cheaper will be on the market. The 375 does look like a good choice. But $$$
