    Who would you call?

Well I would call one of my folks because I have their numbers in my head. The only other number I have memorized is my office, maybe I would call that one. But if your ever in that position call me, give me access to some money and I'll bail you out every time

    Engine swap

The 152 I have experience with is in fact a sparrowhawk. Cruise speeds are slightly higher than my 150 but all things considered it is probably not worth the hassle to convert. especially considering the draw backs on weight

    Engine swap

I own a Cessna 150 as some of you know. I would like to hear some discussion on swapping the 100hp engine out for a 125hp. This was a standard option on 152's so would it be a logical thing to do for a 150 also?

    Radio Check...

Oh I see, no need to try to hard. You will find they speak the same language as the rest of us. After all we learn what to say over the radio by using it

    Flying in rain

So flying VFR on long X-county especially this time of year, I am often busy avoiding thunderstorms. But often there is associated rain showers that can be flown through with out fear of entering the thunderstorm itself. Is it correct that I can just fly through rain showers as long as...

Would my AI survive a roll?

Those cropdusters are just wanting to show off to you. It is an extremely bad idea to roll your Arrow, however if you must then please video and share the link here.

Density altitude and runway length quick guide?

This is a great topic that we can all benefit from. I learned to fly in the hill country where DA was worth consideration. I now do most of my flying in the flat country, and I testify that it is somewhat more relaxed in the respect of DA. My advice is to use the book if your ever in doubt and...

    Coffee

We have a small chain of coffee shops in my area known as “Shadrachs”.(maybe I spelled that correctly) but they do very well at both hot and cold coffees of various flavors. They also make a great brew of black coffee. Anytime I’m in town they are my first choice. If traveling however I am not...

    Coffee

You have got to be kidding! Everybody has a different taste and they are welcome to it. I drink mostly dark black coffee myself, but every so often a iced coffee or flavored coffee is great. To some coffee is the substance and for others it is simply the base for the drink.

    How long do investigations take?

Maybe a dumb question but are you able to exercise your pilot privileges as you wait?

    Flaps during approach

My approach to landing is simple. Best reasonable forward speed until base and final, then target 80 all the way down. I normally use 10 to 20 degrees of flaps just to keep everything stable.

The “ins” and “outs” of tires

I'm not sure how old they are, I bought the plane in Jan. I suppose it may be in the logs

The “ins” and “outs” of tires

Recently upon landing I had the unfortunate experience of a flat tire. As the mains settled something just wasn’t right, there was no sound to give away the new development just a weird feeling that the right main was too “soft”. Then slowly as the speed decreased the plane gently turned to the...

Who is qualified to install an altimeter? Does it have to be an avionics guy or simply an A&P?

How do you forget to lower the gear?

Never thought of using GUMPS in my 150 ;) lol set the throttle and it pretty much flies itself, and the gear, well its always down for landing.

    uAvionics Tail Beacon

Well before you guys verbally slash and slaughter each other, this sight is for opinions to be shared. We don't all think the same and that's good for multiple reasons. So maybe we can just share our differences rather than calling out those differences and offending one another.
