I'm starting my commercial soon to help with my non profit. Was thinking of combining the instrument and complex at the same time in an Arrow.

I've found the internal is no where near as accurate at my 150 receiver - at times I fly close to some restricted and class B airspace, I like to know that with my receiver I'm within 15 feet of where my GPS says I am.

Apple OS is historically more stable - to another posters point, dedicate the device to flying above all else if you can. I do other things with my mini but it's primary function is being an inflight GPS. I know a few folks that have home built the ADS-B in device with good results.

LOL. I hope to never be in this situation, even just flying rescue animals I never leave the ground with less than 3/4 tanks, and always look for fuel stops if I think I am anywhere near getting close to a 1 hour reserve.

Sorry, yes, a donation of an aircraft for use in the non profit. Specifically this aircraft would owned by the non profit, be retrofitted and used exclusively for animal rescue transport purposes (i.e. a C182).

Anyone have experience on either end? I run a non profit, and recently received my 501(c)(3) exemption from the IRS; I was evaluating this as one option to further the impact of the organization. I was curious to know how successful folks have been or any experiences you've had.

Foreflight is nice, however the fact is it simply make you lazier as a pilot. Planning on paper forces you to look at everything along the way and not just the start and end points. I love it, but dependency upon it is too great.
