I gather the overhaul is about 13,000 on this airplane and if I could run it to 2200 while paying myself $25 an hour, I could live with that.

I got myself a used H 20-10 for $75 and invested another $50 for new ear seals. It's been an great sounding headset and very comfy for very little money. It is however going to become a passenger Headset when my A20 arrives on Tuesday. [emoji41]

I would also recommend the iPad Mini RAM Mount from Sporty's. It's tough as nails and can be adjusted for just about every cockpit.

Every provider will sell it to you without a contract but you can bet the price is going to go up. Just remember if it's not 3G or 4G capable than you will need an external GPS. I have a Bad Elf as well as the xGPS150A which both work fantastic and are less than $100.

The flight was a success and there were no rafts/lifejackets required. I was not particularly worried about the crossing however as a general rule, I always seek the advice of experienced pilots before I embark on something new. James
