    Split Nosebowl PA28

    Any time you need to access anything directly behind the nosebowl, say the alternator, the prop has to come off. Also you can't run the engine with the cowl off and just the nosebowl on.

    I don't have the new filter on hand yet but I believe it's going to be a champion. Is that going to require DC-4? If so can that be purchased at any kind of commercial chain store?

    I see there are various STC's available to split the nosebowl on the PA-28-140. Has anyone actually been through it and have any idea of how much labor is involved?

    Oil change question

    Tomorrow I will be doing the first oil change on my 1964 piper Cherokee 140. It has a quick drain and will be a relatively easy job but I'm curious, do I have to drain the oil cooler as well? Unfortunately my manual does not have specifics for oil changes. Any advice appreciated!

    Fuel Leak - Pressure Gauge Line?

    I was able to get a mechanic to come out and cap the line at Westover. I flew down to Simsbury Connecticut(4B9) tonight and tomorrow the whole thing will be replaced with a non copper flex hose :)
