Not a bad idea, except on a Saturday when there are 15 planes between 2,000 and 3,500 flying to around or away from the JOT VOR. LL10 only has a VOR approach (for the moment) with the JOT as the IAF so after doing practise approaches at ARR, I always try to get one last one in heading...

Probably. I have been told to slow down 20 or 30 knots for sequencing. What always cracks me up is when they mention there is some big iron behind me and to keep the speed up.
