Tesla Model 3 - Now I get the hype.

Sorry for any confusion. I was responding to the concern for mileage loss while sitting. When we travel I drive 5 miles to the airport and park next to our plane (no airport fees) and at 2 miles a day loss while sitting waiting for our return using 300 miles charge / 2 miles a day = 150 day...

Tesla Model 3 - Now I get the hype.

parked my model 3 for 40 days lost 85 miles (5 miles to the airport). So starting with 320 miles charge you have to have a 1% income to have a vacation long enough to run out of charge :)

Another 2020 Mandate Request for Opinions

If you are not in a rush don't forget the Tailbeacon which is also by Uavionix which is supposed to be out later this month ( or next). Since you have a 172 I suspect that will be the easiest installation for OUT. In look at stratux stratus .. add IPAD ( mini Version 4s are going to be cheap...

    ADS-B decision

Just swapped in a 76c for my still working ancient 76a. $350 for the 76c and I still have my 76c if it fails. Tail beacon on order ... just another way to go.

The "cheap" Tesla is finally out...

I too had to do that on Dual exhaust ... arrg not pleasant. BTW the Tesla M3 is quite stiff without having to go to the 19 or 20 inch wheels and the risk for pothole damage is reduced. I was used to stiff and flat cornering but the low Center of Gravity makes the Tesla very crisp.

The "cheap" Tesla is finally out...

To answer the OP. Love the car and the improvements every week or so. Bought the full automatic driving package will get the new computer, added mileage, expect to get the 5% performance increase. FOR MY MISSION it is just great. 270-325 miles per fill up is absolutely more than enough. I have...

2017 Garmin Pilot vs. Foreflight vs. WingX

I prefer wingx pro for VFR, it has a number of little things that are great for burger runs. FF has a great planning tool, esp with the internet version. Buy the 29 buck version and you will get the version 8 coming up. We fly with 2 mini 4s on the yokes and dance between the two programs. If...

    [NA] Cordless drill

The little 12 volt Ridgid is perfect for around the airplane. Small, light and the last one I bought I used for 5 years every day pulling panels (lots of screws) and the little LED light that came in the set is good for tight places. Still using the same 2 batteries.

Sky Beacon- STC approved, NOW shipping

from the e-mail: "What about tailBeacon??? One thing we've learned from all of your questions, is that tailBeacon is going to be very popular. One reason for this is that there is some uncertainly of whether skyBeacon will fit your wingtip, and a second reason is because you may be looking for...

    [N/A] Tesla turns a $312 mil profit in Q3

So having gone on 2-3 long road trips (driving to join AirForce) and never again in 60 years (they have airplanes now and lyft/uber and even rentals) I am enjoying "filling up" in the garage and not being ask to come in please for an oil change on my honda.
