I tend to agree with this philosophy. Would establishing a LLC (like has been known to occur with aircraft) be a wise path? A CFI that I have used several times over the years has set one up for his CFI business purposes. Kinda curious if it would protect his assets.

If you have the calendar option for appointments to be added from email, that's probably what's happening. The emails probably have dates imbedded somewhere, and those are being added to your calendar. I ended up turning that feature off.

Don't think there really is a camp to be in. If a task such as a gear swing is required by the AMM, then the gear gets swung. If it's not required, it's customer option. If the A&P refuses to RTS the aircraft without completing a task not required, then it's time to either find a new mech, or...

If I'm reading that correctly, that chart is for the total distance required, which would include accelerating to V1, losing an engine, and continuing the takeoff or aborting. This doesn't depict takeoff ground roll alone. And, it's for a -8 which may or may not be the same model of 747 in...

I just happened upon this myself. We were passing through. I think it was there as part of the festivities at the race in Charlotte this weekend. There were a handful of other warbirds, including 5 P-51s, a T-6, and a few other WWII era airplanes.

I'm having this issue myself now. I've tried all the fixes I have found on the interwebs. The Dual sends it information to a host of other aviation related apps, just not Foreflight. I am running the most current iOS. Any more ideas? Thanks.
