I considered a SEAREY and the RV-12, before going with the SLING 2. I’ve been more than happy with the SLING. Insurance turned me off the SEAREY, even with 500+ retract hours and less hull cost than the other two, they wanted $8k. Ridiculous!

Ive flown both and its Hands down Garmin GTR-225, which is in my SLING 2. Feature rich for a basic radio, if you learn to use its features.

Dam shame that certified a/c have to pay for the feature, which Garmin says is free. I loaded the new update into my G3X and did the configuration myself, after watching a video. Entering the a/c’s VG and Sink rate enables it. You then set parameters for runway. Looking to test fly it next week.
