Bought my wife a Caterpillar D4

Dozers are fun to have around. This D8 was left in the woods on 140 acres I bought after the previous owner cleared some paths through the property. Included it in the deal and we changed the batteries and adjusted the tracks and it served our purposes for a year or so before we sold it to the...

    Road Trip!

Even if not a big horse racing fan, I’d suggest spending a day at the races in Saratoga. Meet is running every day except Tuesdays. Just a bit north of the interstate route at Albany.

Lowest Flight Level and Basic Med

No I don’t think he was, but I’m guessing I’m being rude to you too. I’m not missing your point either, just agree with most that it is just not something that makes much sense and I doubt ATC even knows what basic med is or cares. Go 16,000-17,000 IFR or 16,500-17,500 VFR.

Lowest Flight Level and Basic Med

They are 1 foot apart only if the pressure is 29.92. Ron’s first reply subtly tried to point that out and he pointed out the refs don’t limit you to FL180 but below 18,000 ft. He’s not being rude or arguing, just pointing to the details.

So Okies, is this really true?

I knew of a guy whose kids were born in Texas that took a baggie of red dirt and placed it under the hospital bed so that he could tell his kids they were born over Oklahoma soil. I just accepted the transmitted by blood part, but my daughter doesn't give it much value.

So Okies, is this really true?

That’s a great take on it. Describes the general vibe of most Oklahomans, past and present, in my view. Muskogee has always been more urban than most of the rest non-OKC/Tulsa part of the state. It was a good place to grow up though and is a good place to be from now!

So Okies, is this really true?

I’m a native Okie from Muskogee: not when it was written and certainly not now!

    PPL training in a Arrow

In a forum like this, you only know what is presented. I stand by my assessment of his typical behavior here. This place has become a darn joke.

    PPL training in a Arrow

He is an A&P. He didn’t ask for any one else’s input or discussion. As per his usual MO, he makes a fairly negative statement and then he disappears from the thread with no further input or response to questions posed of him. Thread after thread of this from him. No big deal, just a waste of...
