Got a voltmeter in the panel anywhere? Could be the battery is dropping badly during the start and it takes a while for the charging system to bring the voltage back up. Bad connections, especially poor grounds can cause similar symptoms.

Right, the standard outlets are only rated for 15A max. The 20A plugs have the left blade sideways. Common for RV cords.
