Anyone have any insight on picking landmarks for night XC. The regular stuff might not be seen so easy. Would like to hear what's worked well for others here. I'm thinking the easy picks are other airports, VOR checkpoints, some lakes/rivers if the moon is out, big highways (street lights...

5 hrs required, with 150nm XC and one leg over 50miles. After I do the 150nm, can I burn up the rest of my XC time in airports within 50nm of my home airport?

Who is your favorite DUAT provider and why? Trying to figure out why there are several free ones out there, why not just go directly to the FAA to file them. Why the middle men?

Yes, I'm looking for something tailored for the checkride. I did my first couple hours of XC today and found that my sheet from the glem book wasn't all that great. I googled XC sheets and saw quite a few, so I came here to find out to figure out what would be the easiest to use for a checkride..

Can someone confirm that the ADF/NDB questions are removed off the private pilot written (not IR).. I keep reading some conflicting posts.. Maybe I'm just confused.
