Plane for my mission (in combo with Tesla???)

In the end, it’s an airplane. It takes more rudder than you’re used to on takeoff. It can fly faster than you’re used to at altitude, and especially in the descent. You learn to think ahead of the airplane by starting down earlier, watching your descent rate, and slowing to a “normal” pattern...

Plane for my mission (in combo with Tesla???)

Im 6’2”, 280 lbs. I don’t rub elbows with the right seater. I can’t reach the rudders with the seat full back. Two doors, and you get to step up into your own seat, not climb down and around someone else’s. Cessna 210. Look at a Turbo 210. Huge inside, carries lots, fast. No problems on hot...

    Daylight Time vs. Standard Time

You can’t make daylight. Split the difference and use 30 minute time zones like much of the world does. Then everyone gets half of what they want.

The compressions are fairly high. Annual Mx logs are attached on that yellow venue. I’m sorry your buddy bought a maintenance hog. Many airplanes are if they haven’t been properly cared for over the years. It sounds like he’s been fixing things over time; I chose to do it all in my first two...

Insurance is about $3200/yr. With the JPI and GAMI, you can run at 55% - 60% power in LOP and you’ll be nowhere close to any engine temperature limits at about 12 gph or less. Still faster than a 182, still more room, still more comfortable, still higher useful load.

    Overnight Parking?

perhaps he doesn’t have your vast experience. But it was his very first post. no one bothered to ask him what his experience level was; many simply started to pile on. you are correct. Experience must be earned, and learned. However, he’ll be far more likely to ask the questions he needs to...

If you stay with usaa long enough, you’ll receive the annual distribution given to each usaa member based on the company’s insurance experience, and an additional senior bonus given only to 40+ year members. It’s usually enough to pay for my homeowners insurance. it’s not enough to incentivize...

Does Ukraine Have the Capacity for a Doolittle Raid.

Ever since that pesky Cessna landed in red square, the Russians are very interested in airplanes coming their way. They really beefed-up their air defenses. Hard to hide at 800 knots, unless you’re stealth.

Does Ukraine Have the Capacity for a Doolittle Raid.

They have been unable to target a 40 mile long convoy only 25 miles from Kiev. why do you think they might be able to get to Moscow unseen and untouched?

    Ferry Pilot Concerns / Contract

There have been many times that people have annoyed me by doing or saying things, inadvertently or unthinkingly, that impact me. There have been many times that people have ****ed me off by purposely doing or saying things that have impacted me. I might want to shut them down or make them...

    Ferry Pilot Concerns / Contract

I agree with your last sentence. That was my point. It’s really not my place to tell someone what they may or may not do, as long as they are safe and legal. Even if their actions hurt my feelings. Life is not fair.
