Can someone explain the "power-index rating" From the article: "This term means a formula-based method to replace maximum takeoff weight in the definition of a LSA, involving wing area, horsepower, and takeoff weight." Would you think this would allow 172's, 182's, etc types of planes to be...

Piper PA-46 down in North Carolina

Looks like there was a lot of torque pressure on the wing where it was attached to the plane...or it just landed on its edge.

    Star Trek: Picard

Let's remind everyone that Denise Crosby, who played Tasha Yar, wanted out of the show and that is the only reason she was killed off ( https://www.startrek.com/article/catching-up-with-denise-crosby-part-1 ). She did make several return visits to the show over the next several years.

Six killed when plane from Houston crashes near San Antonio

Too much weight burned up the fuel quicker than expected or just a miscalculation and maybe added reserve into the wrong column? Or maybe had to drive around a storm system and that used their fuel.

Ethiopian Airlines Crash; Another 737 Max

I cannot find this info again but I understand the US airlines had purchased the option of using both AOA indicators and having that as a safety feature (where they both must agree before activating the MCAS system) while the other two airlines in questions only used the single AOA, thereby...
