    Electric Airplanes?

Hybrids work for cars because they can generate power from regenerative braking that can be stored in the battery. The more continuous your power needs are (airplane) the less two different power sources make sense. In my feeble opinion.

    Electric Airplanes?

Charging is an inconvenience. Energy density of the batteries is what is killing it now, which is obvious if you put pencil to paper like you have here. It is cool that the electric motor is way lighter, and simpler than a piston engine. You would probably move most of your maintenance costs...

Anyone on PoA Using Strava and riding their bike?

Definitely join the POA group. A few of us are active. I got back into just doing some trainer workouts recently. Supposed to do HH100 next month in wichita falls. Although actual 100 miles is doubtful for me.

    Port of Bellingham new policy.

This is just my ignorance talking: I would think as the liability number goes up the rate would go down. How much damage do you think you can cause with a ASEL? I guess you could fly it into the community hangar?

No finger prints - Who knew?

My wife has the same issue - no useful prints. To be a RN in Texas her prints had to be rejected 3 times due to “quality of print” as opposed to “technician error”. Then they basically bypass that part of the criminal background check.

    Mental health

Its very difficult in situations like this. He is sane enough to know how to act normal for the cops and the doctors if it gets that far. Then he tells us about his delusions. Nike wants to sponsor his clothing line - that kind of thing. The system just isn’t set up to help people in his...

We found out yesterday that he survived an overdose on Thursday. Heroin and fentanyl. His buddy called the ambulance for him. He sounds the same on the phone. He will never get past this without psychiatric care. Its torture to be on this ride for all of us.

Dodge Ball is a tool of oppression....

I understand we probably dont want to set up a petri dish for bullying. But we will not get adults with grit if we prohibit any and all adversity in childhood.

Absolutely he did. Beg borrow steal - whatever. One thing that stands out to me is everything is always someone else’s faults. With both of them. They have a real problem admitting any mistakes or fault. I guess thats part of it.

Its amazing to me how different we all are. I haven’t had too many surgeries but the pain pills do very little for me. But sugar, by god, lights my brain up!

Yeah maybe you are right about rock bottom. Its hard to see though. You pretty much have to be prepared for them to die. Thats hard to do.
