    Pretty sure thats how the challenger worked. The key was not a traditional key. But the remote lock/unlock/keyless start part could quit working, but the put-it-in-and-turn part still worked. All without a traditional key.

    I washed the fob to my 2010 Challenger at least once. No immediate problem. That’s really pushing your luck!

    Drink water. Wear stuff that breathes - Thin khakis beat jeans. I guess it is too late for you to try living in Houston for 4 decades. Thats what really worked for me. Honestly i avoid flying mid-day in the summer.

    Just keep in mind the later 172 models have more seat adjustability than the early ones. Visibility can be affected. I presume that may be true for 182 as well.
