I am out of Stinson in SAT. Just passed my checkride. So all I have flown is the 172 lol. I will probably be looking for a safety pilot soon so I can get my hood hours eventually.

That's my plan. Just start taking xc flights to different airport's and enjoy it. Then slowly start prepping for IFR written and when think I'm ready will go tackle it.

Well I will keep it short. I started this journey 8 months ago. I work 80-100hr weeks so proves if you really want to do something you can! With the wife not approving and people always telling me don't kill yourself it all worked out great. Just want to thank everyone for keeping me motivated...

Just an update. Well I was supposed to take my checkride next week but I have to move it to Sept 12th. I couldn't get off of work for August 10th.. oh well I will just keep flying and practicing.

So far as a student pilot I had my flaps stay down, CFI door Opened, bird strike at night, plane in a class E airport call the wrong runway and was landing head on while I was lifting off, hmm maybe one other thing but can't remember .

Well I am just about done with my PPL. Checkride is Aug 10. I started a thread on here about how the wife was not supportive etc. Well it looks like things have changed a bit. We just put a contract on a vacation beach home in Port Aransas. Literally could walk to the mustang island airport...

Well just an update. I am sitting around 45 hours and just completed my short xc.. I need 2.7 hours left for my long then I would be done with all my requirements. Attached is a pic from today. Video will come later.

The feeling will start going away the more you fly. Then once your solo it comes back a bit just because you don't have that person on the right seat to save your ass lol. But I enjoy the bumps and thermals now.
