    Boeing Studies Pilotless Next Jetliner

Agreed ! As technology and automation increase jobs will decrease. At the same time the worlds population is increasing. I see a looming problem on the not too distant horizon. History has time and again shown what happens to large unemployed populations !

ADM sanity check (VFR over the top)

If the engine quits how long does a vacuum powered attitude indicator continue to work ? It's actually an honest question because I've flown glass for so long I don't remember.

Gyroplane/Gyrocopter speed, useful load, and safety

    Wired headline about Cirrus Jet

Like I've said here before I think owners will very quickly outgrow the Cirrus jet and move on to bigger equipment fairly quickly. Think of it more as a training jet. Time will only tell - let's see how many are on the used market two years from now.

    WX-10 stormscope

I LOVE a good storm scope ! I wish the 777 I fly at work had a stormscope. It doesn't replace radar it augments it. Very good tool for spotting convective activity before radar sees it. I would keep that if at all possible.

    Searey amphibian

That salt water will be an issue for you. I'm guessing you've never owned a boat that's kept in a salt water environment. The whole tail wheel mechanism in the Searey will be bathed in a salt acid bath - not good ! It's more than just a tail wheel back there too. There's this long spring like...

    Paragliding on Maui today!

I used to do that in Utah. Maui is on my bucket list for that. That type of flying is the closest you can come to flying like a bird. It's like the kind of flying you do when you dream you can fly.
