How long do y'all think it would take to become familiar enough with flying approaches to do it at night as a a non-instrument pilot? How many hours on the ground and how many in the air?

So I'm following someone tomorrow night for the first time. It will be about a 45 minute flight. Obviously when I say following, I'm not just hopping in the plane and taking off behind them.
