Reminds me of the movie Gattaca. DNA science is fascinating, but also a little scary. Give it another 20 or 30 years, and I can easily see companies (and people, just like in the movie) requiring on-the-spot DNA testing for things.

I watched that Andy Griffith episode where Aunt Bee learns to fly. Very cool, and brings back memories of watching that show when I was a kid.

OP hasn't posted since their first (and only) post. I'd be curious to know if they've had another lesson since then? For myself, yes, it is like drinking from a fire hose, and I completely agree with an earlier poster's mention of it being like additive approach to workflow/task management...

I was thinking if I was ever lucky enough to own my own plane, I might look at an older SR22. I was wondering how upgradable are the older ones? If you wanted to go nuts, could you replace an old Avidyne system (or even early Perspectives) with a new Garmin G500 TXi for example? Not saying it...

I wonder how much, if any, lack of interest in GA has to do with the hassle of flying commercial nowadays? Back in the 50s and 60s, flying was a great adventure, pilots were looked up to, and people even dressed up to fly. Contrast that to today's world where flying commercial is a hassle...

Both my parents smoked, and all three of my older sisters, but I never had the desire to (thank God). Probably because my Dad had his first heart attack when I was eight, and a second one that killed him when I was 16. I think that made me never to want to touch a cigarette. I do have empathy...
