I was A List preferred last year. And I got treated to the same $hi%&$ seat every flight. I got to walk on to a plane with A1 boarding to find there were already 20 connecting pax on board. It's a bad deal for people who actually travel for work.

It doesn't. It turns you into an FO at spirit or frontier while the regionals struggle to hold on to the captains they have already.

You can go straight to frontier or spirit niw days. Just need your ATP-CTP completed and you're pretty much all set. Your ameriflight friend will be at a major carrier faster than ever before. The path doesn't necessarily go through the regionals anymore like it used to.
