Does anyone still care about 3rd class reform anymore?

It would be so much better if the medical requirements were reasonable. They are so onerous now that many qualified people either can't get a medical or need to jump through so many hoops for an SI it becomes a real burden. Disqualified forever because you were prescribed ADD meds when you were...

    Bose A20 from Bose X

I had a Bose X and switched to the A20. I think it has better noise attenuation, and is more comfortable for me. There is a lot of personal preference in headsets. I don't like the way Lightspeeds fit, but many do. My favorite headset was a Telex Stratus 50D headset. It wasn't too durable, so I...

    What is Plane&Pilot?

My favorite of the old magazines was the original "Air Facts" that was run by Leighton Collins, Richard Collin's dad (I think). It had excellent articles and writing. I'm sure only old timers will remember it.

    Any old timers fly "A's & N's" ?

I tried "flying the beam" at the insistence of my old instructor once back when I was taking flying lessons in the early 70s. It was just before the last of the transmitters were being decommissioned. I barely remember what it was like, but I remember the older pilots talking about what an...

    Jeppesen vs Naco charts

I used Jepps forever. When Foreflight came out, it became a no brainer to switch, although I do think the Jepps are better. I certainly don't miss updating the books every cycle, though...That was a real PIA.
