    PA32-301R Air conditioner "guard"

Thanks @Rgbeard @Salty -It protrudes into the baggage area, not the hat rack. The parts diagram above makes it look not-so-bad, but it sticks out a good few inches for sure. @Bell206 - Yeah, I kinda figure that would be the case. I guess my question is would it be effective enough with just...

    PA32-301R Air conditioner "guard"

That's interesting! We have one! Plan is actually having the panel redone or I'd go take a picture of it in the wild! Of course two of the legs have been broken.... I was always under the assumption it was necessary for proper airflow to the evaporator ... is that not the case?

    PA32-301R Air conditioner "guard"

I did find it in a parts catalog - It's called "evaporator filter cover" - #28 on this diagram

    PA32-301R Air conditioner "guard"

Hi all - Have a PA32-301R Saratoga with factory a/c. The factory setup has a plastic guard that sticks out about 4-5" from the evaporator into the baggage area. Given we use the plan for travel with 2 small kids, that intrusion into the baggage area makes packing difficult. Was wondering...

    PA32 Autopilot Replacement

I agree. We're sorta boxed in. Have been exploring a number of options. Doesn't seem to make good sense to sink $10k into a old system that will have another issue likely sooner than later. Upgrade paths get expensive though. We're looking at the AeroCruz 230. Biggest issue is that it...

    PA32 Autopilot Replacement

Hi All, First time poster here. Am in a partnership with a 1998 PA32-301R Saratoga. Has some avionics upgrades, most notably with an Aspen Evolution 1000 from a prior owner. Had the KFC-150 autopilot box go out the outbound leg of a recent trip (really went out - smoke and all, tripped...

    Montreal?

Absolutely. I had actually intended to follow up, but I forgot. Thanks for reminding me. I used Pascan. I was very much unimpressed with them. First off, there was a miscommunication about the rental car, and they gave me a much smaller car than what I thought I had reserved. Part of that may...

    Montreal?

Thanks Jon - seems like that should be a standardized thing ... Appreciate the response though!

    Montreal?

Hey all- Successful flight in today. Thanks for the suggestions. Question on the return flight. I had planned to stop at Massena on the way back to clear customs. One of my passengers asked about flying back to KBUF and clearing customs there instead. It would be more convenient, to be...

    Montreal?

whereisrandall - yes, my understanding is eAPIS is required on both the outbound and the inbound; any time a border crossing is involved. You also call CANPASS on the outbound and give them basically the same information over the phone; once you land, they decide if they want to inspect you or...

    Montreal?

Yeah, I found the FBOs. That wasn't the question. Was wondering if anyone had recommendations on which on is better - there are about 4 of them. I already took the time to email each of them, 1 doesn't want piston traffic anyway.

    Montreal?

Thanks, appreciate the advice. Would you happen to have a reasonable FBO recommendation at CYHU? Would need 2 overnights, usually I'm successful in being able to take some fuel and waive a night or two of parking.

    Montreal?

Hi All, Long time lurker, first time poster. Planning a trip to the Great (white?) North of Canada in about 10 days. Montreal, to be exact. Hoping for a few suggestions for where to fly in? And maybe some suggestions on an FBO at said airport? Original plan had been CYHU but seems...
