    KMA24 w/ Intercom Replacement

I would suggest that you go with one of the 8000 series PSE models instead of the 7000 series. PSE seems to do all of their innovations on the 8000 series rather than the 7000 series.

    Charging pigtail connection 172M

Just curious on why you are using the SB50 connector. That is a 50 amp connector. It is unlikely that the charging would be over 7 amps. What gauge of wiring?

    Starlink Beta - Impressive

If you are close enough to 5G, take a look at the T-Mobile home internet system. The box is free and costs $50/ per month for uncapped internet access. I am on the waiting list.

I have a Tascom digital recorder. Just stick a lapel microphone in the earpiece of a headset. Tascom can do stereo or mono high quality recordings.

Piping music / movie to every headset

I have a PS Engineering PM-2000 Intercom that I will sell. It comes with a wiring harness for a four place plane but can be expanded for a six-place plane and has stereo. It can be mounted horizontally or vertical. It has an audio input. I have a guide that I made for mounting an Onyz Plus...

    WiFi in router??

I just bought one of these and it works great: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MKZXGBY?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details It acts like a repeater. You hook it up to your internet WiFi and it has two Ethernet ports. I bought mine so I could get free internet in my hangar from available hot...

My IPads get their GPS coordinates from my ADS-B receiver but I always carry a very old Bad Elf along for emergencies.

    Brake job cost?

I replaced the brakes myself on my Ford Escape at 43,000 miles. Parts were about $70. I ran into two problems. Problem one was that my Escape was suffering from the Ford swollen lug nuts issue, so the stock 19mm socket would not fit about half of the lug nuts. I had to purchase a 20mm socket...

    WiFi in router??

If you want more than the one wired connection, you may still need a router. If the Starlink Sat performs as a router, you may get by with a switch.

Setting Hobbs after it went down

You ALWAYS want to use Hobbs for flight time and the Tach for maintenance. The Tach runs about 80 percent slower than the Tach. So if you have required maintenance every 100 hours, wouldn't you want to use the tach just because it will save your money?

    shrinking HD??

If you cloned the original drive, it normally just uses the same same size as the original disk. You can get around that by using software like AOMEI Partition Assistant and adding the unallocated disk space back to the drive.

    Backup/cloning solutions

If you want a NAS, consider using TrueNAS (fomerly FreeNAS). It is still free and will work on an old Desktop computer although it will work better on some new hardware. It is a very professional product considering its price.

    ADSB-in solutions?

Yes, the King 74 can provide TIS-B traffic to the 430W, however TIS-B is only available around certain Class C or B airports and is being phased out. ADS-B provides much more robust traffic information. https://www.faa.gov/nextgen/equipadsb/capabilities/ins_outs/

    Home Flight Sim Recs

I built one for my Hangar and run X-Plane on it. X-Plane publishes minimum requirements for the computer that you need and I stuck with that. You want a motherboard designed for gaming, a top of the line video card, a sold state harddrive, and lots of ram. You can't log time and it will not...

    ADSB-in solutions?

I put in a Freeflight Rangr RX in my Warrior. It interfaces with my 430W as well as provides a wireless connection for all my IPads. Has worked very well although I do get some error messages on the 430w occasionally that signal has been lost on traffic but the IPads work fine when this...

    JPI Edm 830

If you have ever updated your firmware for the 830, it creates a lot of changes to the configuration procedure and JPI does not document those changes. It is best to call JPI support and ask for their "cheat sheet" for setup. They also said that they would walk me through the process if I...

    Active Cooling for iPad

My IPad overheats occasionally but it is not really a big deal for me. I have two IPads and use the second is a backup. If it overheats, I swap IPads and put the hot one in front of my floor vent of my Warrior. It takes about two minutes to cool it down for another restart. Foreflight allows...
