Leaving your logs with the mechanic is a bad idea. If he loses or damages them, that's a huge impact on your resale value. Just as bad, if you have a disagreement with him he has your logs as ransom.

All the chart apps tell you exactly what the current accuracy is at all times. It's not a guessing game.

I agree with most of what you say, but with good signal the iPad GPS will have accuracy in the 10 meter range or better.
