Yes and no - we got the plane and discovered, it has the option installed; finding a R model with the avionics we have would be difficult and investing money and time into installing boots might (!) be less and easier... we will see :)

Hi Community, the STC for retrofitting TKS into Cessna 210's includes all from the "L" upwords but does not include the "R" series. Reasons I understand being different / longer wings and stabilizers. Anybody having a guess how complicated (if at all possible) it would be to get that STC...

Hi! Yes; the older C182 have a much better payloud which you may even increase through various STCs... I would nit have expected the T and S model to have that much less but you never stope learning I guess... :) Maybe we need a C210 afterall. Can carry a lot at high speeds and ok’ish with short...

The aircraft will get TKS fitted in the states before ferry; most likely East Coast. Decision not taken yet who will be ferrying.
