Ahhhhh that felt great! Did my first solo away from the airport today! :D Flew down about 15-20 south to one of the practice areas. Did some steep turns (one was junk), s-turns starting from both directions, and some general sight-seeing because I haven't been able to do much of that yet :D...

Got it done today! Second solo in the books, 1 hour in the pattern at KAEG. Started off a little crappy. Did 3 landings with the CFI, on the third I bounced it pretty good. So he said, nope, let's do one more. Got that 4th one in and he said let's go to the ramp. Got started back up and...

Oh I don’t know...according to my CFI I flare anywhere from 10’ to 50’ or more above the ground. :D

Couple weeks ago I got taxi instructions...while I was on downwind. Got our tail numbers mixed up. It was all good.

Oddly enough, the plane I have trouble with has the least power of the 3. Well same HP as one of the others, but it has a climb prop vs this one with a cruise prop.

I definitely do better with one of the other Cessnas. I’ve flown all 3 and this is my least favorite of the bunch.

Bummed, had to scrub my flight lesson yesterday. It was too windy for a lesson. Rescheduled for this Friday and another one next Monday.

Had a nice lesson yesterday, did 9 landings and all were good with most being really nice ones. If the weather cooperates, I'll get another solo Sunday.

Don't be too sure. Plenty of Americans have no idea New Mexico is part of the US. Case in point...girl that worked for me went to South Carolina for college. Freshman year they put her in the international dorm because she was from another country. Higher Ed at its finest.

The amount of instructional time it takes you up until you solo has nothing to do with the quantity of solo hours required to meet minimums to be eligible to take your check ride for your license. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
