    GNC255 Database updates

    If I recall correctly, the GNC255 has a USB Micro-AB (2.0) receptacle. https://forum.digikey.com/t/what-is-the-difference-between-micro-a-and-micro-b-usb/10513

A brand new plane still not better than a 50+ year old Cessna 182

Because a better comparison would be a 50 year old 182P to a brand new 182T. If you want to deviate from the thread title, then you could also compare a brand new 182T to a brand new P2010.

Governor signs ban on 100LL into law

Why did Textron want to do it for UL94 and not for G100? And if they wanted to do it for UL94, would they want to do it for 100R?

    HOW DID THEY FLY WARBIRDS??

They were also pumping new planes out of the factory daily, no?

the "not worthy of it's own thread" thread

I figured out my own question. Sugar cane is made into molasses and the molasses is made into rum. Many cheap rums add sugar for flavor. Sugar free rum has no added sugar.

the "not worthy of it's own thread" thread

How do they do that? Rum is supposed to be fermented and distilled sugarcane.

Cleaning out shop, KT76A any value?

But not nonexistent. Price it right and clear up some shelf space. Think beer money, not vacation money.

    I Hate Enterprise

All the majors. After Enterprise dropped the ball big time, I had a really nice experience with a small mom&pop repair shop that had just began a rental business on the side.

    David Clark H10-13.4 ANR

It isn’t. I’ve had batteries die in flight. It’s not that big a deal. Just make sure you check the indicator after run up and before entering the pattern. If you do need to swap batteries in flight, the One-X has a really neat extractor system...

Sell your 13.4 for $200, add in the $250 you would have spent on the conversion and buy a used Lightspeed Sierra. Or factor in the time and effort needed for the conversion and buy a used DC One X or Lightspeed Zulu 3. Of course, some of this depends on what airplanes you are flying.

A brand new plane still not better than a 50+ year old Cessna 182

Define "better". I can proclaim anything to be better so long as I get to choose the metric.

Does anyone wear out their exercise equipment?

I would think that getting the spare working would be more of a concern if you couldn't get it to incline. :)

I wear out my shoes a once or twice a year.

    Proceed on course VFR

Perhaps you're right. I suppose if you were given a departure route out of class C, you never had your own nav so there's nothing to resume. Now I'll have to pay closer attention to what they say the next few times.
  17. A

    Proceed on course VFR

Actually, I've been hearing "Resume own nav" rather than "proceed on course" lately.
